Bathroom Makeover: The Knobs

About this time last year, I was publishing teaser posts about my bathroom makeover.  There was This Post about my trash can's Polka Dots and then I showed you photos of the total mess we were making as well as an interesting surprise.  Did you see my post about The Inspiration?  What about The Curtains?  You've gotta see The Curtains I made!

'Sorry for the odd photos.  Our bathroom is tiny!

So, on the end of the room opposite the window is a vanity and bank of built in cabinets.  The wood used to make them is some kind of very sturdy scrap material from who knows how long ago!  Does anyone know what time frame indoor plumbing was probably added to older homes in Northwest Arkansas?  I don't really know when the bathroom would have been added to my 1935 farmhouse.

  Anyways...

I wanted colorful knobs for the cabinet doors.  I looked at knobs and looked at knobs AND looked at knobs. It was so difficult to make up my mind!  So, here is what I chose.

Yep!  One of each!  I love all of them!  They are perfectly eclectic to stand beside the splashy Shower Curtain and striped curtains!

What do you think?

  4. Hi, I found you from Motivate me Monday @ keeping it simple. I would love to join your Blog train but need a little time to make sure I understand what I have to do properly. I'll pop back & read it properly another day. I just wanted to say, I don't know if it's a lost in translation thing, but your link name was "I love knobs". Here in the UK a knob is a door handle but also something else entirely! I'm assuming it's not the same in the US. It made me chuckle, I just thought you might like to know. :-D
