Gift Wrap Idea

A pretty girl in our life recently had a birthday!  This particular wee one loves books!  I'm not a huge fan of wrapping paper.  It just seems so wasteful.  I wanted to use some kind of wrapper that could also be a gift, not just thrown away.

My solution?  Bandanas and ribbon!  Each book was snuggled inside a bandana and simply tied with ribbon.

She can use the ribbons in her hair.  Bandanas can be accessories, too, but she likes using them for baby doll blankets.  'Little sweetheart!

Nothing gets thrown away!  If you're looking for an inexpensive, re-usable gift wrap, think about bandanas with a touch of ribbon!

  1. What a fabulous idea! I think my nieces would love this. I wonder if my boys would as well (they could always use the hankies I suppose).

  2. Cute! I use giftbags and recycle those i get from other stores then decorate the bag to hide the store names.

  5. Such a great idea Marci .. wrapping paper is extremely wasterful .. so I typically stick to gift bags and reuse them.

  10. I love wrapping gifts almost more than I like giving a gift, so when I see unique wrap ideas I get excited. I love the pink/black bandana combo you chose - looks fantastic! You may enjoy a post I wrote about other alternative gift wrap ideas http://www.ritewhileucan.com/and-thats-a-wrap

  11. I made cloth gift bags several years ago that we have been trading around and re-using, but I adore the idea of the bandana, especially for a child. What kid doesn't want a bandana??
