WELCOME to EXTRA feature week of the November 2020 "You're the STAR" blog hop!
(Sometimes we will have 5 Mondays in a month - these 5th special Mondays are called "EXTRA feature" days)
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Even though we won't be hosting as many guests this year, we will be grateful to see each person! Have you decided what to wear yet? My maternal grandmother frequently told me, "You'll never regret looking your best." I haven't chosen my outfit yet, but my vintage doll is dressed and ready for company!
Our news this week... 'Wishing everyone a very blessed Thanksgiving week!
What is is about watering cans? I just love their shape. These are the size of children's toys. With a little paint and some pretty washi tape, they've become planters. If you would like to see my first transformation of the shorter, rounder watering can, just click HERE. The second restoration was completed this summer, but I'm just now posting about it.
Our news this week... These adorable elves came for a visit and wanted to decorate for Christmas. After all the options had been drug from the storage closet, each one chose a small tree and relatively monochromatic theme. Handsome Husband pulled sleds from the garage for tree stands. Santa's helpers also set up our Christmas village and snowman collection on every single flat surface of our living room. Thankfully, I've already done some shopping and wrapping. When these darlings weren't looking, I slipped a couple of gifts for them under their trees. We usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving to begin Christmas, but it's hard to say "no" to these sweet girls! When do you prefer to begin Christmas decorating?
It's been quite some time since any pets appeared on my blog. I don't think you've met Kiwi and Lavender, our sweet Guinea Pigs. Aren't they cute?
Our news this week... My tropical plants have been moved to the safety of our greenhouse. Baskets of annuals are left outside. I'm still watering them, but they are looking pretty tired. These calibrachoa continue receiving honey bee visitors. We've enjoyed their deep red color all summer.
November has arrived. Temperatures a falling along with the leaves. It's time for football, sweaters, and hot cocoa.
Our news this week... If you are one of my friends from the US, I have to ask if you've voted yet. Whether you are on the red team or on the blue team, please vote. This is it, the last day. I'm very curious to see who will win. This election, once again, could go either way. It is my hope that winning teams will be humble and losing teams will be gracious. 2020 sure has added a lot to the history books.
