Thrifty Bedside Lamp Makeovers

Painters came the first week of April and spiffed up our living room, dining room and master bedroom!  It's so nice to have our home refreshed!  There is artwork hanging in our living room and dining room again.  Toss pillows have been purchased and carefully placed.  Now, I'm working on our bedroom.

Tuesdays with a Twist - Last one for April

Mark 16:6 And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.
'Just a beautiful gifted napkin and modpodge.  I must have missed posting this one.  Oops!

You're the Star | April | Week 4

Isaiah 64:4 Since ancient times, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides You, who acts on behalf of those who wait from Him.
Colored pencils, markers, micron pens. I created this for my Bible journaling pen pal, but would like to do something similar in my big journaling Bible. I'd appreciate any suggestions for a background outside the flower!

Tuesdays with a Twist #417

Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem! Look, you King is coming to you; He is righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

This gorgeous napkin was a gift and it does all the "heavy lifting" for the page. 'Just modpodge and the napkin.  I think it would have been prettier if I had only used one of the crosses instead of trying to use them around the page.  Live and learn, right?

DIY Pocket Bunting

This just might be the quickest little project I've completed in a long time.  Since this is a challenge for Earth Day, everything is recycled from something else.

May grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

II Peter 1:2

'Just lettering and doodles using markers and micron pens. I'm excited to begin a new devotional. This one is 100 days of Bible Promises by Shanna Noel.

Redbud Trees in Bloom

Maybe it's just me, but they seem extra pretty this year!  Here are some shots for the two we have in our back yard.

Tuesdays with a Twist #416

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
This was a fun technique found at The Lost Sock Blog. Create image with Crayola markers, then brush over with water to make it look blurry / watercolor-y. The yellow sun was filled in afterward, so that it would remain a circle.

Watercolor Greeting Card Ideas for Mother's Day

Spring has arrived.  So far, our April weather has been glorious!  Is it just me or are the redbud trees extra pretty this year?

You're the Star Blog Hop | April | Week 2

2 John 5 and 6 "And now I ask you, dear lady—not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning—that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it."

This gorgeous printable from Bible Journaling Ministries was created for a page I had already illustrated, but all of 2 John seemed perfect for it, especially verses 5 and 6.

Tuesdays with a Twist #415

Hebrews 6:19 and 20 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain. Jesus has entered there on our behalf as a forerunner, because he has become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
The anchor artwork is snipped from a napkin and the "waves" are rickrack from my fabric stash. Crayola marker was used for lettering.

Ecclesiastes 11:4 If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.
❤
This idea was new to me, and surprisingly difficult for my brain, but so much fun! I used micron pens, and three markers in either black or gray.
