Garden Guest: Male Cardinal on a Windy Day

The north side of our front yard is a certified  National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat.  Really!  We have a certificate!  You can do the same by providing food, water, cover and places for wildlife to raise their young.  It is so much fun to see all of the critters that stop by for a visit.  Children love it!

This Valentine inspired mixed media illustration is for Deuteronomy 6:5  Love the Lord, our God, with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your strength.

The blue hearts were sort of doodled in pencil then colored with lettering in Micron pens.  The pink hearts are a doily and some fuzzy stickers.  This was a super fun page!

Today's verses were Proverbs 8:17 which can be seen, Matthew 6:20 and I Chronicles 22:19 "Now seek the Lord your God with all your heart and soul."

I'm still practicing drawing tutorials from youtube with pencil and colored pencils. The lettering is in Crayola marker. I love the idea that Jesus hangs my scribbles on His refrigerator. My Father is the King of Kings.
