Our pretty daughter has enjoyed cooking since she was very little.
We would help her stand on a chair and she stirred and tasted alongside us.
She could cook better than me by the time she was about 8. ;-)
Her paternal grandmother taught her how to make chocolate gravy, one of her favorite dishes.
Our pretty girl is 30 now. The recipe is a bit smudged and rumpled these days, but I cherish her sweet handwriting.

Oh, how adorable, Marci! I've never heard of chocolate gravy but I'm sure it's delicious on sweet breads and other scrumptious dishes. Your daughter was a cutie pie back then and I'm sure she's a beauty now! It's awesome that she started cooking at such a young age. That's the foundation of a great cook!

What a wonderful thing to keep. I have all of my mother's recipe files, mostly hand written cards with her notes of successes and failures. - Margy
