Vintage Vibe Gift Wrap AND a Candle Giveaway

One of my favorite co-workers has a daughter that just graduated college and now she is planning a wedding!  According to her dad, she loves old black and white movies and music from the 40's!

'Playing around with the flash on our camera!  ;-)

I wanted our gift to be something modern, but with a vintage twist! A black and white theme seems appropriate, don't you think?  I chose candles along with a very pretty journal.  Nothing says "Romance" quite like candlelight!  ;-)

These two fragrances, Black Sands and Fresh Cotton Blossom, smell very clean and combine nicely.  I love having a black candle option!

Here's the super fun part of my post!  The giveaway!  Just hop over to this link

look around, and then comment below which product you like!  That's it!  From those comments, I will randomly draw one to win a $10 gift code to Candlemart.com!  The drawing happens on June 1.

Now, back to the vintage vibe wrapping...

This gorgeous box is mostly soft gray and pink with gold foil accents.  When using the flash on our camera, the foil steals the show!

Without the flash, though, the beautiful birds, branches, and flowers are center stage.

I love the hinged lid and antiqued lining.

For a bit of sparkle, I added crumpled gold tissue paper along with some charcoal and silver satin ribbon.

The journal and candles were wrapped individually in the gold paper with a simple knot of satin ribbon.  Everyone hopped into the box, and I tied a big floppy bow on the outside.  What is it about satin ribbon that makes anything feel a bit more lux?

Disclaimer:  I received a gift code from  Candlemart.com  for product in exchange for this post.

Frankly, this was quite an honor for me, as I buy from this company regularly.  Hanna's Candles is located about 25 minutes from our home and we know several of their current and past employees.

Right now, my favorite fragrances are Black Sands, Cotton Blossom and Early Morning Mist.  My Handsome Husband has asthma and some fragrances bother him.  These do not.  If I burn different ones in adjoining rooms, these three scents make a lovely combination!

Please enter the drawing!  I'd love to share one of my local companies with you!
