The north side of our front yard is a certified National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat. Really! We have a certificate! It is so much fun to see all of the critters that stop by for a visit. I'm beginning a new series of posts to show you our Garden Guests.
Squirrels are some of the silliest critters in our yard. Their antics make us laugh on so many days. 'Not sure I'm laughing about this one though. I thought the wind was blowing off the lid of this bird feeder. 'Guess not!
The squirrel was reaching down and scooping out sunflower seeds, then eating them while wearing the birdfeeder lid hat! I was snapping photos out the kitchen window. I guess he could sense my presence or hear my grumbling. He kept looking at the window. Crazy Little Thing!
Many of the squirrels get names in our yard. 'Not sure what to call this one. What is a sassy sounding name, someone that would wear large hats? ;-) Do you have any squirrely visitors in your neighborhood?
Tunes on Tuesday is one of my fave linky parties. Grab a song and join Holli !

ReplyDeleteLove this version by Michael Buble. Thanks as always for linking up.
There's a squirrel that lives in my yard. We have a love hate relationship. He tears up my flowers if he gets the chance. But he's so cute.

Arghhhh! Bird seed is so expensive too! I might be calling that one Goner!! (Guess the National Wildlife Federation would like that.)
ReplyDeleteI love all the squirrels in the neighborhood. At any time we have at least twelve around the yard. I had to quit putting out bird feeders - the squirrels tore them up too fast. I just make sure to plant plenty of things for the birds to snack on. Our cats are terrified of them!
ReplyDeleteLove your picture! He looks so cute with that hat! Visiting from our Ladies Only Blog Share - thanks for linking up with us!
ReplyDeleteMy mother-in-law gave us a bird feeder called "Squirrel Buster." It's kinda hilarious and I've gotten good pictures of them still climbing it. They do still get their share of seeds from the ground. They're not suffering!
ReplyDeletegiggle. I love squirrels. I'm hopping over from Tuesday with a Twist. Hugs!
