The north side of our front yard is a certified National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat. Really! We have a certificate! It is so much fun to see all of the critters that stop by for a visit. I'm beginning a new series of posts to show you our Garden Guests.
This is a very young Mourning Dove.
I don't have a clever seque' into music this week, but chose a Fleetwood Mac favorite. Edge of Seventeen.
Join me for a link party at Holli's Hoots and Hollers. It's all about music! Grab a song and link up at Tuesday Tunes!

That dove is so precious!
ReplyDeleteI love our mourning doves and the noise their wings make when they take off! I also love to see them with their young...they're kind of fussy!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard this song in years! I almost forgot how powerful Stevie's voice could be!
ReplyDeleteps................I love the bird pics - my husband is a keen wildlife preserver.
We hear the mourning doves all the time. Their call is so beautiful, but sad at the same time. Your photos are lovely.

Oh...the sound of the mourning dove! One of my favorite sounds in life, and we've now taught our grandbabies to listen for them. We even have made up a song about them, and they love the song too! Thanks for the sweet picture. ~Zuni
ReplyDeleteI have a girlfriend that would want to camp in your yard....she is all about wildlife! How nice to have such a distinction!
ReplyDeleteI still love the fact that part of your yard is a wildlife refuge!
