You've probably already heard that I have a new sewing addiction... Drop Cloth Fabric! Did you see my New Curtains? I've also made several Dish Cloths! I love the raw texture of this fabric as well has how sturdy it is.
Here are a couple of pillow covers recently sewn!
I began with this tutorial for an envelope pillow cover and cut my fabric. You can see I ironed where it will flip to cover the pillow form. That way, I am only decorating the front.
The plaid-ish one is just a series of stripes in black, brown and bright orange. Using a ruler and a yard stick, I painted evenly spaced lines in two directions.
Then I wanted something a little more girly!
Polka dot ribbon was ruffled and attached.
New toss pillows!
Are you sewing with drop cloth fabric? What have you made?
;-) -Marci
I love that polka dot ruffle!
ReplyDeleteI am also addicted to the drop cloth material, I enjoy making corn hot packs with them. Also I just learned how to sew so I might just try the pillows as well. Thanks for the inspiration, have a blessed day! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove these! I like the ruffles one. I'm afraid that even with a ruler I wouldn't draw a straight line.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard if it but it is most likely called something else here.
ReplyDeleteMerle.........
They are so beautiful & so original - I love them!

I love them both! I have made exactly one drop cloth pillow in my life. That was I think the last time Damien was released from his cabinet!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely Marci. I love them both.
