Love is…

My First Boyfriend and My Last Boyfriend.

Handsome Husband and I will celebrate our 26th Wedding Anniversary this year.  Looking through our wedding photos, I found myself staring at my favorite picture from the day.  It’s a photo of my father with my husband.  My First Boyfriend and My Last Boyfriend.

You know how it goes.  An idea was born.  The center of the idea is paying tribute to the two men who have loved me the most.

As usual, a trip to Hobby Lobby was in order, where frames were on sale.  I found a black frame with white matte that would hold three 5 by 7 pix.  Here’s where Pretty Girl enters the scene.  She has a Silhouette and is a total genius with it.  Check out what she did for me.

Yep.  Pretty Girl is a genius!

The plan is to place the photo of Daddy and Handsome Husband together in the center.  Then one photo of of me with Daddy on one side and one photo of me with Handsome Husband on the other side.  I looked back through our wedding album and chose the photos.

I was torn between the photo where I'm kissing Daddy on the cheek and the photo of him walking me down the aisle.  My Daddy, my first boyfriend.  As for my favorite picture with Handsome Husband, it has always been the one where we are walking out of the church together.  My husband, my last boyfriend.

The pix were scanned, edited to black and white and of course printed.

It was such an exciting day.

This project brought back so much joy!  I actually cried a few sentimental tears.

There are many ways it could be done.  I think it would be sweet to have a wedding display where the "First Boyfriend" side was the bride as a child with her Daddy.  The "Last Boyfriend" side could be one of the engagement photos.

Here’s the completed project.  I love it!

Thank you for sharing my sentimental joy!
