Quick Christmas Decorating

Sometimes there just isn't enough time for everything.  Christmas decorating, for example.  So, I did what I could with the time I had.  Here is our Guest Bedroom after some quick Christmas decorating.  You might have seen the tutorials for the Window Valances and the Sticker "Art" .
I started by swapping out the bedding and adding some teddy bears.  Changing the bedding changes the room.  When I was a child, my Daddy always bought me a teddy bear for Christmas.  To me, teddy bears are an important part of Christmas.

The project was barely underway when Sister Katherine Elizabeth planted herself right in the middle of it and made herself comfortable.

What a diva!
Is it just me, or does the sheep look shocked?
Have you ever seen such a silly cat?  Here she is with Mr. Big Stuff when they were both a little younger.
Back to the Christmas decorating...  My dear friend, Betty, gave me a gorgeous Nativity Scene that she had hand painted with gold paint.  The stable scene with dear Baby Jesus was placed on the dresser.

The wise men with their camels were placed on the shelf across the room as if they are following the star.
Can you see the beautiful detail?

Part of our Christmas village was placed on the window valance above the bed
while snow men were placed on the other window valance and tucked on the shelf above Mr. Big Stuff's portrait.  He is such a cute little boy!
That's what was accomplished in a couple of hours.  So, if you stay with us in December this is your room.  We'll leave the light on for you!

Are you allergic to cats?
Please stop by and share our joy!  Merry Christmas!

  1. I love the decor and I envy the cat! I'm not allergic, fortunately, because cats are my favorite pets. My husband is more of a dog person, but I refuse to have a dog in apartment and he doesn't want a cat, we just have no pets now. I did have cats growing up, though, and I still miss them.
