Elbow Patches make me Smile! {Free Pattern}

What makes you smile?  Apparently elbow patches do the trick for me!  ;-)

This is my latest sewing project and the pattern is free!  It is the Deer and Doe Plantain T.

I love the easy fit of this T, and the elbow patches, well, they just make me smile!  Long sleeves may not be very summery, but my office always feels super cold!  I am using a medium weight knit from Hancock Fabrics and scraps from this Maxi Skirt.  Since my proportions are kind of funny, I added a bit to the length of the bottom of the shirt, about an inch.

The pattern whips up easily in an afternoon and that includes distractions.  (I am so easily distracted!)

So, same question.  What makes you smile?

  3. What makes me smile? You do... There is nothing "funny" about your proportions, they look fine to this sixty your old.

  4. I love it! I also love elbow patches on shirts. I am sharing this on my TGIF Blog and Instagram Hop as a FEAture this week! It will be up on my blog and hopefully on the other blogs soon! :)

  5. Nice Marci! I'm always envious of your sewing skills! Putting a sewing table in my craft room has not made me sew....yet!

  8. I wear tops like this all the time, Marci - a must have staple for the wardrobe. Looks great and in white, it'll go with everything.
