Our garden has provided a lovely blackberry harvest this year!
Most have been used in my morning smoothies. 'Thought you might like the recipe. There are gobs of Monster Smoothie recipes all over the web. If you haven't already researched them, you might want to.
Blackberry Smoothie Recipe
1 Cup Vanilla Soy Milk
1 Egg, fresh from the back yard ;-)
1 cup Spinach or Kale
1 cup Blackberries, fresh from the garden ;-)
2 inch sprig of Lemon Balm, yep, fresh from the garden ;-)
4 -5 Drops Lemon Flavor Stevia
If you've never done a green smoothie, here's a tip. Place the spinach/kale and liquids in your blender first. Make sure the greens are completely pureed before adding the rest of the ingredients. I've kind of learned the hard way that I don't mind a chunk of blackberry, but I really don't care for a chunk of spinach. 'Just sayin'. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
This recipe is wonderful after a tough workout on a humid Arkansas morning!
What is your favorite summertime breakfast?

Oh yumm! And yes....these Ozarks mornings have been very humid lately, but we'll take this break we're getting now! So do you have a juicer? I've been looking at those Ninjas lately and wondering if they are that much better than a blender. Saw you featured at Make it Pretty Monday. Nice job!
