Almost Home by Pam Jenoff. (You probably know she is the author of The Diplomat's Wife.) It is a spy novel and at a little over halfway through I am loving it!

'Nope! I already have quite a few on my mind and am now excited about going thru Amazon's list!

I want to read more by Jan Karon as well as Pam Jenoff. A Light in the Window will probably be next. After that, I am just not sure. The first book listed on the Amazon List is 1984, which, frankly, I read in 1984. I'm thinking I should read it again and see if it still totally creeps me out!

ReplyDeleteServants by Lucy Lethbridge, and the Last Lion, Vol. 1 by William Manchester. The first is a history of the servant world in England, the second an exhaustive biography of Winston Churchill. Despite sounding heavy I'm enjoying them both very much. :-)

Betsy and the Great World. I like to read childhood favorites for easy reading before bed. :-)

JK Rowling's new mystery (under the name Robert Galbraith); Jenna Woginrich's new homesteading book, and the Duggar girls' new book, Growing Up Duggar.

ReplyDeleteI've never read 1984. It's one that I think I should, but it just never makes it to the top of the list!
ReplyDeleteI think I may have read 1984 in school, which means I can't remember it because I probably didn't pay much attention. I'm going to make a point to read that soon.
