The north side of our front yard is a certified National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat. Really! We have a certificate! You can do the same by providing food, water, cover and places for wildlife to raise their young. It is so much fun to see all of the critters that stop by for a visit. I've begun a new series of posts to show you our Garden Guests.
These photos are from our sweet cousin, Ruby! She took them through her window, so they are just a smidge distorted.
I think they are beautiful though! Can you see the lovely wooded scenery in the background? She lives on a peaceful mountain in the Ozarks. Thank you, Ruby, for sharing these photos!
Even if you live in town, like we do, you can still provide native plants, food, water and cover for birds and other wildlife. Consider creating habitat wherever you can!
For blogging music, here's Jason Mraz singing Walking in a Winter Wonderland
Warm wishes from our home to yours!

One of my favorite songs too; I love the Rainbow Connection!!! I'm in Florida, and although everyone else is miserable, I enjoy seeing people's winter wonderlands.

I really enjoyed listening to Jason Mraz while watching your pictures. Those birds have an amazing colour.
ReplyDeleteMost of the birds have gone from our little piece of land but I think if I fill the feeders again maybe they will come back :) I do love seeing the birdies out there filling their bellies! Thanks for sharing on Chicken Chick's blog hop.
ReplyDeleteWhat a view and what a lovely feeder they have!!
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures of the birds and the bird feeder is so pretty. It helps to make the cold weather is winter tolerable if you can watch Nature. Thanks for sharing. Visiting from Tuesday With A Twist Link Up!
ReplyDeleteNot sure how you always get such great pictures of your wildlife! You have such great info here, your blog is a wonderful resource. Thanks for linking to Snickerdoodle Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI love to feed the birds and see the different birds stop by. It is so necessary to feed them at this time of year also. Thank you for sharing with the Clever Chicks Blog Hop! I hope you’ll join us again next week!

Cardinals are always beautiful but they just stand out in the winter. We have a bird feeder hanging outside our four season room and I love to sit and watch the birds. Nice photos! Thanks for sharing on the Four Seasons Blog Hop
