This post is about a very sentimental gift. We've known this sweet girl since she was two and she has been special to us ever since.
It was such an honor to host a baby shower for her.
When this pretty girl was about 2 or maybe three, Handsome Husband held his fingers close together and asked her, "Do you love me this much?"
She threw her little arms wide open and said, "No! I love you this much!"
Every time these two see each other, they play that silly game. One of them will hold their fingers close together and the other one will throw their arms wide open. At her baby shower, Handsome Husband told the story to everyone attending before gifts were opened.

Such a nice story. It brought tears to my eyes. Merry Christmas Marci.
ReplyDeleteGreat personal gift! I understand how special she must be to you two. I have a family that took me under their wing and have been my "family" for many years now since I live so far from my own.

What a sweet memory! And such a creative gift idea!
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful, what a lovely friendship after all these years. We used to ask our little son how much he loved us and he would always reply with 'big, lots and little.' Just to make sure he had it all covered.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us.
