You've been introduced to our adorable granddaughter multiple times. When she was a chunky monkey baby, she was referred to as "Chubby Fashionista". Isn't she beautiful?
More baby photos (and projects just for her) are in these links:

These days, my Lil Fashionista is on the brink of becoming a teenager. I have to sneak photos of her. Still beautiful, but now she loves coffee shops, and experimenting with her hair and make-up. On a recent run to Target, she asked for a pallet of eye shadow. Of course I purchased it for her. When we returned home, she realized it was too big for her cosmetic bag. Can you guess who volunteered to sew one?
Tropical Cosmetic Bag for Our Cutie Pie
Cut these:
2 Outer Fabric 8.5 x 11 inches
2 Lightweight Interfacing 8.5 x 11 inches
2 Inner Fabric 8.5 x 11 inches
Orange is a current favorite color and she asked that it be cute for Spring.
Here are the chosen fabrics. Don't you love how vibrant they are? Since I already have a mountain of zippers, I asked her to choose one from my collection.
The winning color is the darker green.
I'm not sure how many times I've used THIS TUTORIAL from Noodlehead, but here it is one more time! Follow her directions. There is nothing I can add to improve the instructions.
The next time I visited them, her gift was ready. Our Cutie Pie loved her bigger, more vibrant, new cosmetic bag! What have you been creating for Spring?
;-) -Marci

ReplyDeleteYour bag is adorable! I like mixing patterns, too. Sorry to hear about your facebook account. I think you can add a double authorization to sign into your account for extra security.
