Garden Guest: Baby Robins 2017

The north side of our front yard is a certified  National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat.  Really!  We have a certificate!  You can do the same by providing food, water, cover and places for wildlife to raise their young.  It is so much fun to see all of the critters that stop by for a visit.  I have a series of posts to show you our Garden Guests.

If you would like to see more posts like this one, please hop over to my Garden Page.

These cuties are just about ready to fly.

Their parents built the nest in our Southern Magnolia tree.  You can see the large waxy leaves provide nice cover.

I love the little puffs of down on top of their heads!

'So sweet!

What's happening in your back yard?

  7. Had some robins built a nest on top of our ladder. We made sure they were all grown and gone before using that ladder for anything.

  10. Great shots to get so close to them. Sadly this year we have had no birds nesting in our garden.

  12. Great shots - I think your American and our European robins are quite different but ALL baby birds are gorgeous! Our swallows have all left their nests now and the skies are full of them swooping and diving for insects- a beautiful sight to see.

Thanks for adding your robins to #AnimalTales and I hope you can link up for the next one which opens on Aug 8th.
