by Jan Karon
An excerpt from Good Reads: Father Tim and Cynthia arrive in the west of Ireland, intent on researching his Kavanagh ancestry from the comfort of a charming fishing lodge. The charm, however, is broken entirely when Cynthia startles a burglar and sprains her already-injured ankle.
My Thoughts: I just love these books by Jan Karon! It won't be long until I have read them all. She describes daily activities with charming dignity and sweet gratitude. I especially enjoyed the dogs in this novel, even though Barnabas was back home in Mitford.
What are you reading?

Sounds like a good one, Marci! Nothing beats a good read sometimes.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great author! Sending you wishes for a super awesome New Year!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the review, Marci. I once tried to read a book by Jan Karon that my grandmother loaned to me, but I never could get into it...maybe I shoud try again because I hear only good things about this author :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!
Hello Marci,
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting from Stephanie's party today. You've just finished the next book I will be reading in the Mitford series. I'm like you, I love them all! Thank you for the review.
You have a very pretty blog.
I have never read any of these books but am always open to a new author. If I find one who writes a series I like to read the full series if I can. I'm currently reading 'The Fiddler' by Beverly Lewis, easy reading.
