Pup Cake Recipe for Clint's 1st Birthday

We will forever be grateful to  Paws & Claws Pet Shelter  for making this guy's life possible!

Today was his first birthday so we met his buddy, Luka, at a dog park.  After a fun wrestle, romp and run together, they had these fun pup cakes.  There are tons of recipes online.  I combined the newly found ideas with my tried and true  Stone Cottage Dog Biscuits!  Here's what worked for me.

Clint's Pup Cakes

2 cups old fashioned oats (uncooked)

8 eggs

1 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/2 cup self-rising flour

Handful of Cheerios as "sprinkles"

Preheat oven 350 degrees.  Stir together first four ingredients.  Let rest about ten minutes so oats can absorb some of the liquid.  Add the flour and mix well.  Scoop into greased muffin tin.  Sprinkle a few Cheerios on top of each pup cake.  No birthday is complete without sprinkles!  Bake 15 minutes in pre heated 350 oven.  Makes 12 pup cakes.

Both Clint and Luka enjoyed this recipe!

They played hard then flopped down in the shade!

What milestones is your family celebrating this month?
