If you've followed my blog for very long, you already know I dabble with herbs for traditional healing.
With winter weather visiting us more often these days, I'm struggling with sniffles. Trying to sleep with a stuffy nose can be difficult. Here's my solution.
A few tips about the herbs being used: Rosemary is traditionally thought to ease headaches. Eucalyptus has been considered to help with respiratory ailments. Chamomile makes us feel sleepy. Orange may raise immunity. These are all wonderful solutions for cold weather sniffles!
Soothing Bath Salts for Cold Weather Sniffles
2 Cups Epsom Salt
1 Cup Baking Soda
3 Bags of Chamomile Tea
10 Drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil
5 Drops Rosemary Essential Oil
5 Drops Orange Essential Oil
Optional Food Coloring
If you would like to add coloring, it's best to mix it with just the Epsom Salt first. Once you are happy with the color, add the rest of the ingredients. Stir to combine. Add about a cup to a nice hot bath just before bedtime. Then soak away those cold weather sniffles!
I prefer storing my bath salts in pretty upcycled jars like the ones I created HERE and THERE.
How do you like to beat cold weather sniffles?
