Hoarding Collecting jars is a thing, right? Not an illness though, right? I am definitely a collector of fine jars. Well, ya know. They were fine for cherries, pimentos and salsa, weren't they?
This is a dumpster diving Thrift Store Upcycle Challenge!
The Rules:
- Upcycle an item(s) from a thrift store, resale store, or garage sale into a new piece of decor.
- There's no monthly theme.
- There's no budget to stick to.

There may be some of you that would just throw these jars away. Not this girl! Those are craft supplies! Just look at all those fun shapes and sizes!
They've already been through the dishwasher, when we finished with their original contents, but while waiting in my stash, some dust had settled on them. The jars and their lids went back in the dishwasher along with some drawer pull handles I saved from MY BATHROOM MAKEOVER a few paint jobs ago. Again, just look at all those fun shapes and sizes! The jewelry, if you will.
Selecting which jars to use took longer than anything else! The chosen lids were painted either teal or black.
Once the paint was completely dry, I used a small hammer and a phillips head screw driver to relieve stress and puncture small holes into the lids. The lovely sparkly jewelry was threaded into the lids.
The tall narrow jar holds cotton rounds, the short wide one is perfect for cotton swabs, and the largest jar is holding my DIY bath salts (recipe to follow in a few days).
These make my vanity so much prettier!
