It's easy to see why Denmark is often called the world's happiest country. Not only do they have equal parental leave for men and women, free higher education and trains that run on time, but they burn more candles per household than anywhere else.
My Thoughts: We all want to be happy, right? This is such a sweet little book with practical advice on how to make that happen. I especially loved the ideas for bringing neighbors together with ways of sharing what we each have. There is also a section about how to visit with strangers. My favorite quote from this book is, "Hand out smiles and friendly remarks. They are free." That sounds like pretty good advice to me!
I've also read and written a review of Meik's The Little Book of Hygge. If you'd like to see my thoughts on that one, just click HERE.
