Garden Guest: Wren

The north side of our front yard is a certified  National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat.  Really!  We have a certificate!  You can do the same by providing food, water, cover and places for wildlife to raise their young.  It is so much fun to see all of the critters that stop by for a visit.  I have a series of posts to show you our Garden Guests.  If you would like to see more posts like this one, please hop over to my Garden Page.

How pretty is this little parent?  They've raised three clutches of eggs so far,

by building their nest under this broken round gourd safe inside our greenhouse.

Handsome Husband built Dutch doors for the greenhouse when he designed it.

Of course during Summer, the tops of those doors are open, so the sweet adults hop out to our vegetable garden gathering insects for the babies.

We love watching them come and go.  What's happening in your back yard?

  6. Your fur baby is lovely. I love how you said you leave the door tops open to let them in and out. Like their pets. I love that!

  7. Awwww - adorable. I love wrens and we regularly see them here in Normandy ... and often hear their loud call. So great for such a tiny bird. #AnimalTales
