The north side of our front yard is a certified National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat. Really! We have a certificate! You can do the same by providing food, water, cover and places for wildlife to raise their young. It is so much fun to see all of the critters that stop by for a visit. I have a series of posts to show you our Garden Guests.

These photos were taken by my Handsome Husband! Great shots, huh?
The lovely visitor is a female Ruby Throated Hummingbird. Isn't she stunning?
They spend their summers in our area, but flit away for the winter. It's always exciting to see the first hummer each Spring when they return!
And now for a bit of blogging music. Walker Hayes. Beautiful.
What's happening in your back yard?

ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you ~ ^_^
Hello, I love the sweet hummers. I have been watching my backyard hummers too. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up and sharing your post. Wishing you a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend!
Wonderful pics. I love hummers. They're just the most wonderful little birds.
ReplyDeleteI love when hummingbirds visit. I am so impressed with your photos, they are so crisp and clear, how wonderful that you caught these little guys in motion! Really neat about your front yard! I haven't gotten into gardening down in Florida yet, figuring out too much about what I can grow down here compared to what I could grow in Ohio. Thanks for stopping by and sharing at Celebrate Your Story!
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty! Thank you for sharing. You are one of the fan favorites at the Sunday Showcase from the Make it Pretty Monday party at The Dedicated House. Here is the link to this week's Showcase so you can check out your feature. Happy week to you. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
ReplyDeleteHow sweet and lovely! We don't have Hummingbirds here in Australia, so this is a revelation to me that you see them in your own back yard Marci! Thanks for sharing with me at Five Star Frou-Frou this week. Love, Mimi xxx
