Book Review: The Once and Future Witches

by Alix E. Harrow

A partial synopsis from Good Reads:  In the late 1800s, three sisters use witchcraft to change the course of history in Alix E. Harrow's powerful novel of magic and the suffragette movement. Named One of the Best Books of the Year by NPR Books

My thoughts:  This has become my new all time ever favorite book!  It has a little bit of everything:   Women's suffrage movement, female friendships, dishonest politicians, romance, secret tunnels, and witchcraft.  I fell in love with all three courageous sisters as well as the supporting cast of female characters.  I could not put it down.

What have you been reading?

  1. I don't remember reading anything set against the backdrop of women 's suffrage. Sounds wonderful!
