Canvas Upcycle (or Maybe just a Recycle?)

I love craft challenges that help me think of a new idea!

These talented bloggers are all participating in an upcycle project.

We were tasked with making something old "new" again.  No limits other than our base material was either cardboard, paper, or wood.

While I would love to take all the credit for this post, it just wouldn't be fair.  My idea was sparked when our 17 year old granddaughter was spending the weekend and told me that she wanted to paint.  When I asked what she wanted to do, she said, "I don't know.  I just want to paint."

In my stash were a couple of canvases from those super fun painting classes.  You know the ones!

I had proudly displayed my "Milky Way over Water" and "Christmas Cowboy Boot" when they were first completed, but now they are just gathering dust.  Our granddaughter grinned and pounced on the idea of giving them a makeover.  First, she cruised Pinterest looking for ideas, then tackled the first canvas.  Brushes, paint and, of course, the canvas were from my stash.

Take a look at her creation!

I love her vibrant color choices!  Then she had fun hanging her bouquet and putting together a vignette for it.

Don't we have a talented granddaughter?!

(Please forgive the poor photos.  My old computer is limping along with yet another horrible virus and I haven't taken the time to purchase a new one.  These pictures are from my phone instead of my camera.)

Let's see what the other bloggers created!
