Garden Guest: Turtle Doves in Snow

The north side of our front yard is a certified National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat.  Really!  We have a certificate!  You can do the same by providing food, water, cover and places for wildlife to raise their young.  It is so much fun to see all of the critters that stop by for a visit.  Children love it!

Re Vamping Old Ornaments for New Theme

It's hard to say just how many color schemes I've embraced through all the Christmases Past.  It is also difficult to count the number of ornaments accumulated.  How sad that most decorations remain inside the crowded Christmas Tree closet year after year!

The lights on our little pre-lit tree have died.  I'm thinking a new tree is in order and have been shopping what's available.  All websites are inundated with stunning seasonal decor.  With a new tree comes a new theme, me thinks!

I am currently very drawn to black and white and gold color schemes.

Frosty Morning Kitchen Towels

There was a lovely snowfall here this week.  The roads are clear now, but the trees and grass are still covered in white glitter.  Our forecast has more snow predicted for tonight!  Did I mention how much I love snow?  'Probably because we don't get it very often here.  It feels like such a joyous treat when everything is shimmering with tiny ice crystals!

Prepping Succulents for Winter

Overnight temperatures are dipping lower, as they do this time of year.  Our lemon tree and elephant ear bulbs have been moved inside our greenhouse and this charming pot of succulents is sitting on my nightstand.

Artist Trading Cards Swap

There was a recent exchange!  Here's how it works.  I create and mail three Artist Trading Cards and then a few days later, three come to my mail box!  'Super fun!  Would you like to see the ones that came?
