Valentine's Link Party and Wreath Tutorial

Love is in the air!  What are your favorite activities for Valentine's Day?

It's so exciting for me to co-host a link party with these lovely bloggers!

We will each write a Valentine's Day tutorial to share with you AND ask that you share your clever creations!  Feel free to link as many family friendly theme related links as you like.  Old or new posts are welcome.

Valentine's Wreath Makeover

You know how I love a good wreath makeover.  Check out this one!  While I like beach blue with white, this wreath had seen its better days.

I thought giving it a zap of gray spray paint would be easy, but it took quite a bit of time and several coats to get into all the nooks of that texture.

For the heart garland, the paper needs to be a pretty heavy weight, but not card stock.  Living in my old rock farmhouse, I'd like it to have a vintage feel.

This is a scrap of wallpaper leftover from the kitchen remodel (that I still haven't blogged about).  'Perfect for this project!

I cut a two inch strip and folded accordion style.

While I'm not great at drawing, I can swing a free hand heart.  ;-)

Here's the one tricky part to this project.  If you cut all the way to the edge, you get several single hearts...

...which means you get to cut another two inch strip and try again.

A friend told me!  ;-)

With just a couple small dots of hot glue, I attached the garland to the back of the wreath.

And now it's your turn!  Please share as many family friendly theme related links as you like!
