T-Shirt Makeover #6, The Inspiration

You might remember the fun Yards and Yards of Yard Sales shopping spree where I found this cool (but floppy) T-Shirt! You know how I love a good T-Shirt makeover!  (If you like T-Shirt Makeovers, too, just click  HERE .)

For some reason, boat neck seems to be the direction for this shirt. 'Dunno why! Googling, I found just what I had in mind.

Something like this...   from Majestic

Or this...  from Lauren Jean Co

Lauren Jeans Co. Top Mickie Three Quarter Sleeve Boat Neck

Ooooh... More like this...  from Ivonne Maldives

This one feels like me. The length, the easy fit. Yes, this is the picture in my head.

I found a pattern review at  Susie Homemaker (or so I think) . (What a great name for a blog!) Then I found an AH - MAY - ZING tutorial at  Family Ever After   by  Abby at Sew Much Ado .

And so the adventure begins...  Stay tuned for the big reveal!

Don't ya hate it when bloggers do that to you!?  ;-)  -Marci

Twenty Days to Clean Ur Home - Last Post

Thank you,  Anne  of  Domesblissity , for the inspiration to organize and clean!

Thank you,  Katrina  at  The Organised Housewife  for creating this challenge!

The challenge was officially over a few days ago, but my journey began on Day 6.  I was just a smidge behind the rest of the pack!  The Craft Room was the last room for me.  Most of it is pretty organized.

The greatest accomplishment this week?

Thread!

My thread was jumbled in three shoe boxes and all tangled. How does one spool of thread lasso three others? How does that happen?

Interestingly, when cleaning the kitchen cabinets, there were two kitchen utensil organizers not being used that had been placed in the "To Be Donated" box.  There was also an organizer for nuts and bolts.  These trays were PERFECT for thread!

Even though they don't match at all, they stack together nicely!

My thread is untangled, color coordinated and stacked neatly!

Whew!  I'm kind of tired, but so tickled with what has been accomplished.

Consider taking the challenge!  Visit   Katrina at The Organised Housewife  for details!

Terrific Programs! Great Booth!

Benton County Master Gardeners were well represented at the Annual Emergency Preparedness Fair this year!

The booth was absolutely amazing!

The efforts of Mechel and Anita were greatly appreciated by everyone in attendance.

The programs were:

> > Herbs - A Place to Begin
> > Marci Vaughn

> > Bee Keeping - Getting Started
> > Tom Nichols

> > Rainwater - Capture and Use
> > Trish Ouei

> > Composting, Compost Tea, Vermicomposting
> > Tammy Greever

> > Preserving Food - Dry, Can, Freeze
> > Mechel Wall

> > Kids Classes

> > Fruit Leather
> > Seed Bombs
> > Rain gauge

There were elements from each class incorporated into the booth.

Several were excited to get on the list for the New Class of Master Gardeners!

So much information was packed into the booth.

Thank you, Mechel, Anita and your team of worker bees!

A Year of Chubby Fashion

Chubby Fashionista celebrated her first birthday recently.  Can you believe she is already 1?!

Here's a picture of our Big Girl.

She walks very well and hardly crawls anymore.

My blog began just after her birth.  How fun to have a diary of things we made for her!

There was her Bandana Skirt

(Look how little she was!  Her onesie says "This is my little black dress.")

Along with the  Bandana Skirt , I made matching  Rose Corsages , but she preferred to wear them in her hair!

She wore her  Christmas Hat

and her Christmas Sweater Cape  with such style!  Both were made using an upcycled sweater.

Let's not forget her Zebra Print Cape

and matching  Zebra Print Hat

We had the idea for  custom dyed onesies  that matched her custom dyed   Eyelet Rose Burp Cloth .

Isn't she just the cutest!

Happy Birthday, Chubby Fashionista!
