Paper Bag Puppets fit for One Acre Farmers

If you've read my blog for very long, you already know it's about time for our annual trek to Colorado for a visit with our son.  Our favorite neighbors will be managing this One Acre Farm while we are away.  Their children are now ages 3 and 1.  How does any of this involve Paper Bag Puppets?  'Just a sec and I will explain!  ;-)

It's time for a monthly craft challenge.  This one is for de-stashing current supplies.  Thank goodness!  Someone might be trapped in an avalanche!

Meet this month's co-hosts!

My first idea for the de-stash challenge was a T-Shirt makeover.  I have one that I'm just itching to get done.  As I dug through my patterns, though, this charming little book caught my attention.  It teaches how to make paper bag Farmyard Friends!

It was purchased ages ago.  The copyright says 2008, which sounds like about the right time frame for when I got my copy.

Originally, the book came with all the supplies to make the darling paper bag puppets.  You can see I have some of those scraps left, but most have already been used.  It's hard to say just how many times we've made that adorable sheep for Sunday School!

Patterns for creating each of the cute farm animals has been carefully preserved.  So, using scraps from the kit and the mountain of supplies in my craft room, I spent a wonderful afternoon crafting paper bag puppets fit for the One Acre Farmers who will be helping while we are away.  Yes, these are gifts for our favorite neighbors.

If you were age 3 or 1, would you enjoy these puppets?  Which one is your favorite?

;-)  -Marci

I love seeing what the rest of my craft challenge team creates!  Here they are!
