That's my spot.
My favorite spot.
It's strange that I seldom share about this little nook in my garden. That table and chair are sitting between my kitchen and dining room windows. Another chair and park bench are close by. They overlook our small goldfish pond where the splash of our fountain and tiny waterfall can be heard. Bird feeders hang all around.
Weather permitting, I sip coffee and read in my spot. I love to have breakfast here. And dinner, too. Handsome Husband sits with me in the evening and we chat about our day. When you notice me posting photos of birds on a feeder, I was most likely sitting right here when the shot was snapped.
This year, blue was my color of choice to make the space feel cozy. It began by creating a lovely combination of succulents in a weathered creamy pot. I love those textures. A hot pink portulaca is the tall plant in the back. Notice when it was time for photos, there are no blooms. Not even one. Can you imagine some hot pink blossoms in the middle?
Quilted patchwork pillows soften the backs of our wooden chairs.
This little chicken has been in my garden for ages. It always makes me smile!
These gorgeous hydrangeas were a surprise birthday gift from my Fabulous Aunt.
My current reading list. Along with learning hand lettering techniques, I'd like to attempt simple watercolor for Bible journaling and illustrating.
If you'd like to see the blank canvas, here it is. Handsome Husband has replaced all the wood in the table and both chairs. It's hard to say how long we've had this set.
That's my spot.
My favorite spot.
I love joining these talented lovelies each month.
This time our challenge is to create a post about outdoor decor or outdoor entertaining ideas. Let's see what they've been up to!

What a lovely and peaceful resting place. I've loved being outside this spring, even though our weather has been crazy unpredictable!
ReplyDeleteIt is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a peaceful setting, Marci. So cozy and welcoming.
ReplyDeleteWhat an inviting spot to have a glass of lemonade and read a book!
ReplyDeleteYour space looks so nice and fun. I can see why you like it so much. Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI think we all have a special area to enjoy outside, Marci! And yours looks so serene and relaxing! I have that same flower arrangement in the wooden box. My hydrangeas have a more purple color than blue. That's why I bought it. I plan to transfer it to a larger container so the hydrangeas can grow into a bush!
ReplyDeleteSo beautifully decorated! Love the hydrangrea!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

That sounds like a wonderful spot! I love blue tones; especially for summer as they make me think of the water and my favorite hydrangea blooms.
ReplyDeleteYour little space is gorgeous a proper little oasis of calm. I LOVE your chicken, I had no idea I needed a wooden chicken for my garden until I saw yours.

ReplyDeleteLooks so peaceful! I really love the quilted patchwork pillows and the bench.
ReplyDeleteJust before the stay home order I took my old rotting chairs on the balcony to the dump and picked up two new ones on sale at the store. Now I can go out and sit on nice days. - Margy
