Craft Room Destash Challenge - Framing Summer in Card Stock

This is my first time linking with the De Stash Group and I am pretty excited about it.  If you could see my craft room,  *HOO  BOY*  you would tell me to seriously get to work on destashing!  ;-)

Every month, a group of bloggers challenge each other to create a new craft or project from their own stash of goodies! Check out some awesome creations you might be able to make from your own stash! #CraftRoomDestashChallenge

Here's my project and the inspiration behind it,

which doesn't hold a candle to these!

So, this month, I chose to tackle that huge pile of cardstock along with my button  obsession  collection AND needed practice with my new DIY Electronic Cutting Machine.

My recent toss pillow purchases dictated the color scheme.

For the sunrise beach scene, I used ink pads and white chalk to give the sky a bit of color and a few clouds.  You can see it's a very soft touch of blue and lavender.

The cutting machine whipped out my design in no time.  I really wanted these creations to say "Summer".  ;-)  A few random buttons were glued to the center of the sun for texture.  I thought about scattering a few clear buttons across the sand, but changed my mind.

The hummingbird frame is my favorite!

They really brighten my side table!

What's in your stash?
