Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the LORD your God
with all your heart and with all your mind and with all your strength.
1 John 4:7 - Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
Today, I have a silly, whimsical Bible Journaling page for you in two different techniques.
I'm using lined notebook paper, two round objects, a pencil, Crayola markers, and some water.
A page was ripped from my note pad and a circle was traced around a clear bowl in pencil.
Next, a checker was used for tracing a circle in the center.
I sketched out my idea for the letter placement.
Once I felt it was balanced, I outlined the words to make bold, curvy letters. Any unwanted pencil marks were erased.
Following the lines of my notebook paper, I created uniform bands of bright colors with Crayola markers.
A spritz of water blurs the stripes, giving a tie dye look.
Once my page is completely dry, I outline my lettering with black marker.
Joshua 23:11 So be very diligent to love the Lord your God |
Color options are endless.
A second way to get the same effect is coloring first,
spritzing with water,
Psalm 37:4a Delight yourself in the Lord... |
and then lettering.
These circles can be used as single Bible Journaling "tip ins" or they could be cut out and layered to create a larger illustration.
"Love the Lord" can be used for so many Bible verses! Which one is your favorite?
