Gifts for our Grand - Pets

If you've read my blog for long, you already know we adore our darling grandchildren.  Our family also includes four grand - pets that are pretty cool, too!
My post today is for the monthly Pinterest Challenge, hosted by Erlene of My Pinterventures.  The idea is to take just one of my many, many pins and create my own version of it.  The other talented participants and their project links are listed below.  For me, today's pin-spiration is

One of our granddaughters LOVES pickles.  When she is visiting, we either purchase a gallon jar of them or two of the bigger regular jars.  If the dill pickles are forgotten, she says we can't eat without "The Main Course".

After a dishwasher ride, these pickle jars are definitely kept for upcycles and recycles, especially the gallon size.  First up, is the Christmas gift for our three grand-dogs.  Murphy is a Beagle, Sampson is a black Briard, and Duke is a Great Dane.  They are such sweet boys and we love them, even though all three are seriously sloppy kissers.

After spray painting the lids, a vinyl cut file was created and placed on the gallon jars.  I chose a nice vibrant red color for the handsome fellas.

Treats inside will be my home made Stone Cottage Dog Biscuits shaped using cookie cutters along with some purchased chew toys in Christmas colors.  (which did not photograph well inside the jar)  For these pictures, tissue paper was tucked inside the jar as it was difficult to read the cut files on that curved surface.

We are also great grandparents to the bossiest Guinea Pig I have ever met in my entire life.  Her name is Maple.  Red with white markings, she loves to be held and scratched behind her little ears.  When content, she makes a purring sound that completely melts our hearts.

A vinyl cut file was created for her and placed on the jar.  This time the vinyl choice is a regal, shiny gold.  Since she is such a sassy diva, Maple's lid received attention, too.

I've been reading (and pinning) recipes for Guinea Pig treats to fill Princess Maple's jar, but don't have any baked yet.

What gifts (if any) do you give pets for Christmas?
