Book Review: Find Rest

A women's devotional for lasting peace in a busy life.

by Shaunti Feldhahn

A Partial Synopsis from Christianbook.com Whether you are a mom of littles or a corporate executive, you are busy. From the moment you wake up until the time you fall into bed, you are on the go - taking care of others, driving a car pool, or completing your to-do list. It's easy to become exhausted - emotionally, physically, spiritually. God wants you to have rest.

My Thoughts:  The cover and pages of the book are filled with lovely water color flowers and greenery.  This book caught my attention because it's just so pretty.  Each day has a Bible verse and then a few paragraphs.  There is also a question to consider and a quote.  Day Five, for example, has one from Ralph Waldo Emerson.  "Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God's handwriting."  The daily readings took me about 10 minutes each, but I went on to illustrate some of the Bible verses.  Keep scrolling to see all of them.

Each illustrated verse has had it's own post here on my little blog, showing how each was created and what items were used.  If you would like to see those details, just click on the listed Bible verse above each picture.

What have you been reading?  Did you create your own illustrations?
