Historic Georgetown Loop Railroad

Prepare for photo overload!  ;-)

We felt very privileged to ride behind a fully preserved and maintained steam locomotive, winding thru such beautiful mountain scenery.

Our son suggested the Historic Georgetown Loop Railroad and Mining Park when visiting him in Colorado this September.

Although touring one of the silver mines was quite educational and very interesting, it really wasn't for me.  (I'm afraid of the dark!)  Handsome Husband enjoyed it even though he had to crouch for many of the shafts.

The train ride on a lovely sunny day offered us spectacular views.

You can see the foliage was changing in the upper elevations.

The Rocky Mountains are so picturesque.

We had a great time with our Baby Boy even though he doesn't like to be photographed!  Isn't he a cute lil' tyke?
