Red Spotted Purple at BGO

It's been my year to see Red Spotted Purples!  On a recent visit to Botanical Garden of the Ozarks with our Cutie Pie Neighbor, she pointed out this one to me!  (If you'd like to read my post about our tour, just click HERE!)

Photographing butterflies can feel tricky.

Sometimes they hold their wings 'just right' and sometimes they fly away.

This beauty stayed in one spot for a few minutes.

Did you see many butterflies this year?  Which ones?

  2. What an absolutely stunning butterfly - we don't have anything like that over here in France. A butterfly picture is particularly welcome today as we have been shivering under freezing rain and everything covered in a sheet of ice today. Summer seems a long way away right now. Thank you for linking up to #GoingGreen and may I wish you a very merry and eco-friendly Christmas 💚
