Book Review: These is My Words

The Diary of Sarah Agnes Prine 1881 - 1901

by Nancy E. Turner

A partial synopsis from the Author's Website "A nice girl should never go anywhere without a loaded gun and a big knife."  Sarah Agnes Prine

A moving, exciting, and heartfelt American saga inspired by the author's own family memoirs, these words belong to Sarah Prine, a woman of spirit and fire who forges a full and remarkable existence in a harsh, unfamiliar frontier.

My Thoughts:  Could. Not. Put. It. Down.  I love first person narrative, especially in this diary format.  Historical fiction is one of my favorite genres.  How Sarah reacts to all she faces on the frontier, oh my, is just extraordinary.  What a wonderful book!

What have you been reading?

  1. I've read this too. I guess the easiest way to say it was "I could put it down."
