My thoughts: Three siblings raised in the same home by the same parents have very different personalities along with varying memories of their childhood. Laura and Steve are overwhelmed as Caroline asks them to recall specific events as she reveals her perspective. When an aunt trusts Laura with a family secret, she begins to understand what Caroline is trying to tell them. I found the story very interesting, but not one of my favorites. For me, the book was OK, but not great.

It has been a while since I read an Elizabeth Berg book, and I have enjoyed her writing in the past. Doesn't sound like this is one of her best from your point of view. I'm reading Trevor Noah's book, Born a Crime, which has interesting moments but is a celebrity memoir that overall I would say is poorly written, as many celebrity books are. Unfortunately, the publishers eat these books up, knowing the name recognition will sell books. I didn't buy it so I don't feel bad about spending money on it. #BloggingGrandmothers
