Cheesecake Bar for a Boy's Baby Shower

The new addition to our neighborhood will be a boy.  'Can't wait to meet the little fellow!  We chose a woodland animal theme for the decorations

For refreshments, the star of the table was cheesecake!  So, my idea for the party was to create the cheesecake of each person's dreams.  ;-)  Plain cheesecake plus anything I could think of to place on top!  While I had intended all along to bake the cheesecakes myself, at the last minute, I chickened out and just purchased some.  I did bake some brownies though!  ;-)

My small collection of decanters helped hold toppings.  These two are filled with chocolate and peanut butter candies found on the baking aisle of my grocery store.

White chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips hopped inside a couple more decanters.

There was an assortment of syrups and fresh strawberries.  My homemade brownies were placed on the table still warm from the oven.

The little hedgehog cups are filled with slivered almonds and chopped pecans.  The fox and owl bowls are holding butter mints.

Handsome Husband wanted to be involved so he smoked tenderloin and then we added chips and salsa to go with that.  Several guests mentioned how much they enjoyed these options.  Not everyone is a fan of desserts, I guess?

I am furiously writing tutorials for the centerpiece and banner I made, along with a recipe for the punch on the drink table!  Please come back to hear more about this sweet day filled with lots of lovely memories!

  2. I'm not sure why some people aren't a fan of desserts but it all sounds so wonderful. It sure looks like the shower was a huge success.
