Silent Sunday (Sort of) - January in the Greenhouse

Mostly unedited photos of my greenhouse this month.  Enjoy!

I just planted some carrots!  These seeds were tucked in the wrong organizer and missed for Fall Planting.  We'll see how they perform in Winter!

How do you enjoy gardening in Winter?  What are you growing and how?  I would love to hear all about it!

  1. January is when I start dreaming about all the flowers that spring will bring.

  3. I have nothing going but the succulents I brought indoors off the front porch for the winter... but I certainly enjoyed this post.

  4. i transplanted my Christmas (New Year) Cactus last year and it hasn't bloomed yet - not sure if it's because it hasn't gotten cold or the shock of the transplant. Yours is lovely :)

  5. I love greenhouses. My father had one. Our house had a brick wall which he built when he built the house. Then many years later he built a greenhouse. The brick wall was perfect with the glass and plastic on top. After that it was crammed full! Thanks for the memories.

  6. I love the photos. I think my mom has that same turtle planter. I do not grow things, can't keep them alive. I do have a lovely tiny (fake) ivy plant that people mistake for real sometimes ;)

  7. I'm afraid I just look at the garden through the window at this time of year and just make do with a few houseplants. I love your little tortoise planter with his tiny little plant growing!

  9. I am so happy to have a greenhouse, this year I was able to save my bright pink geranium that is in full bloom, ferns, snapdragons also blooming, dianthus in bloom, sweet potatoes, a rose that bloomed since going in the green house, parsley, potatoes I am trying, basil and catnip, all are doing well some better than in the heat of the summer.

Thanks for stopping by to share your post, I love garden articles.
    Have a great weekend!
