Gardening Update

Way back in April, I published THIS SPONSORED POST about packets I received from Mary's Heirloom Seeds.  Would you like an update on the Lemon Cucumber?  ;-)  First off, I would like to mention I experienced EXCELLENT germination rates.  Most plants were given to family and friends, keeping only a couple for my small vegetable garden.

Take a look at these beauties!  From only two plants, there are plenty of cukes to enjoy sliced and in every kind of salad and sandwich imaginable!  We have also become cucumber philanthropists!  Our neighbors love them, too!

This variety is Lemon Cucumber, a lovely little yellow heirloom.  The flavor is very mild.  This is our first year to try them and we have learned to pick them as they just begin to turn yellow and are about the size to hold in the palm of your hand.  That's when we like them best!  Can you see all the blooms?  This is a workhorse of a plant!

THANK YOU

to our little pollinator friends and to Mary's Heirloom Seeds for an overflowing basket of cucumbers!

What have you been harvesting?
