Upcycling a Thrifted Dress

It all started with this wonderful $4 find at a Thrift Store.  I love the funky fabric!  Aren't these bold swishes of color great?!

For me, it's a little too long to be a tunic, but way too short to wear as a dress.  AND...

This tank top had been hanging in the back of my closet, seldom worn because it never quite fit right.  But, again, what a great color!

Everyone say. "CHEESE!"

The bottom of the tunic was cut away and hemmed to make a top for me.

Using this FREE Peasant Dress Pattern from Once Upon a Sewing Machine, I used the tank top and scraps from the tunic to make a darling top for Lil Fashionista!

The best part of upcycles?

 Hugs!

Tomorrow, Lil Fashionista will be the star of a guest post at The Enchanting Rose!  She is such a cutie pie!  You are invited to join us of course!

Oh, and BTW, Abigail is the Chihuahua and Missi is the Rat Terrier.  They love joining in the photos!
