The Pasture, By Robert Frost

 I'm going out to clean the pasture spring;

I'll only stop to rake the leaves away

(And wait to watch the water clear, I may):

I shan't be gone long.  You come, too.

I'm going to fetch the little calf

That's standing by the mother.  It's so young,

 It totters when she licks it with her tongue.

I shan't be gone long.  You come, too.

 The photos of our beautiful Ozark Mountains were taken by Handsome Husband.

Happy Fall, Y'all!  ;-)  -Marci

  3. Sensational!!! Years ago my husband and I were making a trip through several of the states and when we saw the Ozarks, I said, "If I were to live anywhere on land (I live on a boat), it would be in this most beautiful mountain area!" It was breathtaking!!

  11. What lovely, lovely pictures! I love the Ozarks. My mother's family is from Harrison, Arkansas and every summer as kids we would take the road trip up to see them. I loved nothing better than roaming around those mountains. Thank you for sharing. Would love it if you would share this at my Make it Pretty Monday party atThe Dedicated House which goes live at 8am CST on Monday. http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com Hope to see you at the bash!
